When we started to make all these Japanese Fusion and Italian Fusion Pies, our customers asked us to make a normal pie. There had been too many normal pies out there and we didn’t want to be the same. But our customers insisted. So here is a classic recipe re-interpreted by Posh Foods!
The golden pastry comes from our natural egg glaze. We hand glaze our pies using pastry brushes and natural eggs. This is how you get the shine on the pastry. Many others use machines to spray coloured sugar coating to get a similar effect. But you can always tell the difference when you put them side by side.
